Peapods (Infants)

Peapods I: 0-15 months | Peapods II: 8-20 months
Our Peapods are our youngest age group. Our Sproutlings caregivers invest heavily in constant communication with these little ones, which is key as language skills are learned quickly within the first year of a child’s life. Through interactions with caregivers: talking, singing and reading, our Peapods have plenty of opportunity to develop early language skills. Through The Creative Curriculum®, Peapod staff plan daily activities to provide children with experiences that promote development in a range of areas.  You will be amazed at how quickly your child grows and learns new skills at this age!

Bonding with Caregivers

Your little one needs a strong bond with a caregiver to feel comfortable exploring the world. At Sproutlings, we understand that social and emotional development is another key factor to infant development. Every child is assigned a primary caregiver to ensure individualized attention. The bonds built with their caregivers provide infants with the comfort and reassurance they need to feel comfortable in a childcare setting. Our caregivers will learn from you about your child’s needs and do everything possible to care for your infant according to your guidelines.

Individualized Care

We do everything we can to ensure that, whenever possible, your child eats and sleeps as he or she would at home. The use of bottles, pacifiers, finger foods, and spoon-feeding is entirely up to you, the parent. We follow each child’s individual schedule for eating and sleeping within the classroom.

One-on-One Attention

At Sproutlings, we understand that it can be hard to leave your young baby.  The Peapods environment is specially designed to welcome new families to the childcare experience. A healthy, trusting relationship between parents and caregivers provides a foundation for a successful transition to childcare. We welcome and encourage you to share your input, questions and thoughts with us at any time so that we can continue to provide your child with the best possible care. Peapods have a low teacher-to-child ratio to ensure your child gets plenty of one-on-one attention during the day.

During the day you will receive updates about your child’s day including pictures, information about diaper changes, feedings and naps through an app called Brightwheel. We know how important it is for you to have open communication with your child’s caregiver.  Brightwheel provides the opportunity for you to have real-time information and provide notes to the staff as needed.
