Please make sure you have your keycard to enter the building. For security purposes the keycard registers who is entering the building. If you have mislaid your card, please let us know so that we can deactivate it and issue you a new one. There will be a $15 charge for new keycards. If you do not have your keycard at pick up or drop off, please expect a wait. Please do not hold the door open for anyone that you do not know.

It is a bittersweet time in our classroom as we prepare to say a temporary goodbye to some of our little friends who are moving up to Peapods 2, while also getting ready to welcome some new friends to Peapods. We are so excited! Over the past few weeks, our moving-up friends have been visiting their new classroom to get familiar with their new teachers and room. We know they are going to absolutely thrive! We are so incredibly proud of how much they have grown. From communicating with words and signing to practicing identifying body parts (dancing to “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” makes it so much fun!), they are learning more every day. Lately, we’ve also loved burning off energy in the indoor playground, dancing to our favorite songs, and celebrating each other with high-fives and cheers. We will miss our moving-up friends so much, but we are so excited for their next adventure! Wishing all of our families a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend!

Happy July! Summer is in full swing and we are loving it! This week we said goodbye to 12 awesome friends as they moved up to Seedlings! We are so proud of them and we can’t wait to see how much they’ll grow over the next few months. We welcomed 10 new friends and their families into Peapods 2! We are so excited to have you and we are looking forward to learning and growing together. We’re looking forward to an awesome summer and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for us!

These past two weeks have been bittersweet as all of our wonderful children, knowing that some of our friends will be moving on to their next classroom. It has been a joy watching them grow, learn, and let their unique personalities shine. We have loved spending time with each and every one of them. The Seedlings have had so much fun learning about the circus and the Fourth of July. We made our own American flags and practiced identifying the colors red, white, and blue. We especially loved using Q tips to paint the blue section of our flags. During circle time, we read Corduroy’s Fourth of July by Don Freeman and had fun singing “Yankee Doodle.” We also want to say thank you to one of our friends for celebrating his second birthday with us. Everyone enjoyed the delicious muffins he brought in, and the classroom was filled with cheerful voices singing “Happy Birthday.”

The past two weeks in our classroom have been filled with fun as we explored the themes of Beach and Fourth of July! The children enjoyed hands-on activities and created festive artwork. It has been wonderful watching their creativity and excitement shine through each day. As we wrap up this chapter, we want to say what an absolute privilege it has been to watch these children grow, learn, and become more confident every day. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of their journey. It has truly meant so much to us! We would also like to give a warm welcome to two new friends as they join Sproutlings and the Little Sprouts class! We are so excited to have them with us. As we begin the summer, we are also excited to welcome a new group of children into the Little Sprouts classroom. We can’t wait to get to know each of our new friends, build new relationships, and make so many wonderful memories together throughout the year! We hope everyone has a safe, happy, and healthy Fourth of July weekend!

The last two weeks have flown by, and we have had so much fun learning and growing together! We explored Community Helpers by dressing up as firefighters to “extinguish” crayon fires with spray bottles and acting as doctors to treat a teddy bear patient with dot-paint bandages we made. These activities were excellent for developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and teaching compassion. During Stretch-n-Grow, the children also practiced gross motor skills through hoop tosses and parachute games. They always look forward to this special time each week! This past week, our classroom was filled with patriotic fun as we learned about the Fourth of July. We celebrated the country’s 250th birthday with patriotic songs and a red, white, and blue sensory table. One of the biggest changes this week was celebrating many of our friends as they moved up to their new classrooms while also welcoming new friends to Beanstalks! We read Will the Pigeon Graduate? by Mo Willems, which quickly became a class favorite. We will miss all of the children who have moved up to their new classrooms and wish them continued success, happiness, and fun as they begin their next adventure. To all of our new friends joining the class, welcome! We are so excited to learn and play and grow with you. We can’t wait to make many wonderful memories together!

What a fantastic last two weeks we’ve had here in Beanstalks II. Last week we talked about community helpers! We had so much fun color matching the Band-Aids onto our bear and pretending to be doctors and nurses. This week we talked about the zoo! We loved getting to match the correct number of animals to the pens! Our favorite book this week was Never, Ever Shout in a Zoo by Karma Wilson. We hope you all have a wonderful long weekend!

Our last two weeks in Saplings have been absolutely incredible! We started by exploring the zoo and all of the amazing animals that live there. Then we shifted our focus to learning all about the Fourth of July and the American flag! During our zoo theme, we practiced our counting skills by counting as many zoo animals as we could. We also learned about lions by cutting and pasting squares to create their fluffy manes. One of our favorite activities was matching and sorting different shapes with pictures of zoo animals on them. We had so much fun while strengthening our math and problem-solving skills! After our zoo adventure, we began learning about the Fourth of July and what the American flag represents. We created our very own American flags using shapes and stars, then strengthened our fine motor skills by threading red, white, and blue beads onto pipe cleaners to make festive Fourth of July bracelets. We’ve also read some pretty cool stories like “Rumble in the Jungle” “Too Talk to Twirl” and “F is for Flag”. We have had such a wonderful time learning, growing, and making special memories together in Saplings. It has been amazing to watch each child learn new skills and build confidence every day. We can’t wait to continue exploring, growing, and learning together in the future!

Pre-K 3 has been busy learning about some exciting new things! First, we took a trip to the Sproutlings ZOO! After discussing chameleons, our friends used bubble wrap to create a pattern to stamp onto their chameleon. Everyone’s looked so unique! We even worked together to “camouflage” different colored shapes around the room! Then, we had to sort animals based on their shapes or spots. Scissor skills were practiced as we cut black stripes and glued them to our orange paper to make our very own tiger…. RAWR! Friends were able to stamp different letters in sand and trace them, too! After leaving the Zoo, we transitioned to learning about the 4th of July! What colors are the American Flag? Red, white, and blue! After being given red and white paper, star stickers, and blue crayons or paper, children created their own American flag as we discussed what country we live in, and why we celebrate the 4th of July. We marched together in our very own class parade creating music with various instruments after reading “Curious George at the Parade.” What amazing creativity we have seen these last two weeks in Pre-K 3!

PreK4 has spent the last two weeks saying our goodbyes. It was a wonderful year! We discussed our summer plans, different camps we are going to & new things we are hoping to try. We hope everyone has a wonderful summer & a great year in kindergarten!!
