PreK 4 Graduation

Congratulations to our PreK 4 Class of 2023!

Peapods

Peapods

Oh my, have we had a few eventful weeks! Sadly we said goodbye to one Peapod — fortunately he will be back! We do have a new Peapod. Welcome, we are so glad you have joined us.

We have a new walker and it looks like two more will soon be following. Everyone is getting so big!

We had fun putting the jar caps into the big jar, playing peek a boo with each other, and making funny faces in the mirror.

Ms. Laura and Ms. Kiera sang us many songs including one we love “The Itsy Bitsy Spider.” We also danced and wiggled to “Baby Shark!” Ms. Lu read Biscuit’s Picnic by Alyssa Capucilli and Llama, Llama Time to Share by Anna Dewdney.

We all hope our fathers have a wonderful Father’s Day.

Peapods II

We’re moving right along in the month of June! We cannot believe how fast we’re growing and developing. While some of us have mastered sign language, others are having full on conversations.

It’s so fun hearing what everyone has to say. Over the last two weeks we learned about the farmers market and construction. We read Mrs. Peanuckles Vegetable Alphabet by Jessie Ford.

We loved learning new facts about some of our favorite foods. We also painted carrots and made sunflowers. We had a lot of fun during construction week. We used different types of blocks and played with our favorite, the construction vehicles.

We also said our good-byes to a friend, we will miss you and we can’t wait for you to take on big brother duties! Best of luck to him and his family. The Peapods II class can’t wait to see what’s to come.

Seedlings

What a busy two weeks it’s been! Miss Paige and the children made a beautiful classroom “Treat People with Kindness” rainbow. The children enjoyed identifying the colors of the rainbow and gluing the colored squares to the project. We are so proud of what made and we love to point at it and shout “I made that!”

We LOVED making our Father’s Day gifts and we can’t wait to give them to our dads!  We have also had fun using dot markers and playing with stickers.

We have had a great time in the playground and are becoming very good at jumping off the mushrooms. We enjoy the challenge of jumping from all of the different heights.

The Seedlings have also been practicing their fine motor skills with  connectors and pop and locks. We are very independent and like to show everyone how big we can build them!

During circle time, we read This Hat is Not Mine by Jon Klassen and sang one of our favorite songs “ABCs”.

We can’t wait to see what the next two weeks will bring!

Little Sprouts

Little Sprouts enjoyed mixing paint to make new colors! We loved making music with the instruments, playing with the parachute, and using a beach ball to play catch with friends!

We enjoyed dancing around to animal freeze dance. During circle time we enjoyed singing our Good Morning song, our number song and days of the week song! One of our favorite books was Dig,Dump, Roll by Sally Sutton.

During center time we enjoyed playing with the trains, building train tracks and working on our colors, sizes, and numbers using keys!

Beanstalks

What a wild couple of weeks we’ve had here in Beanstalks! With the unpredictable weather, we’ve been making the most of our indoor playground and got to participate in obstacle courses our teachers set up for us. How fun!

We’ve been learning about different types of homes and how they get built, and got to build super tall towers to show off to our friends. We also got to practice our shape recognition and made our own houses and towns out of different shapes.

We can’t wait to see what the next two weeks will bring. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and a Happy Father’s Day from all of us here in Beanstalks!

Beanstalks II

What have we been up to in Beanstalks II? We learned all about farmers markets and what they have to offer and how eating our fruits and vegetables is very healthy for us. We focused on sorting out colors and shapes, number identification and much more.

We have been learning about construction, homes and buildings. We made our own houses out of different shapes, focused on being able to trace a line as well as counting and sorting objects.

We have read so many books. WE LOVE READING!!! We have also been getting ready some very special surprises for Fathers Day!!

PreK 3

We have a lot of hard-working construction workers in the PreK 3 class! The past few weeks we have been learning about building and buildings around the world! We learned that all buildings are different sizes, shapes and colors. We also learned what tools are used for  and what materials are used to build with.

The children got to learn about the different jobs in the construction industry like a painter, an architect, a plumber and a contractor. Everyone made  their own toolbox and colored tools to put in them! We had lots of fun building with different types of material such as pool noodles, big blocks and wooden blocks.

We also did our last self portrait in PreK 3. Our drawing, writing and tracing skill have improved such a lot since we started in PreK 3.

We made a special Father’s Day gift and can’t wait to share it with our Dad’s on Father’s Day. This week we also had to say our goodbyes to Miss Alicia. We will miss her very much and wish her all the best! It was a great few weeks in pre-K3 and we’re ready to learn more next week!

PreK 4

The children in PreK 4 have been working on math concepts such as one one and one less and phonics with a fun camping and picnic theme. We enjoyed books such as a Camping Spree with Mr. Magee by Chris Van Dusen and We’re Going On a Picnic by Pat Hutchins.

As our PreK 4 year comes to close, the children reflected in their journals their favorite thing about Sproutlings and what they will miss. They are all looking forward to new adventures in Kindergarten. Graduation practice took up a large portion of our day as they children learned new songs and a poem.

Next week the children can look forward to fun filled relaxing days of games, art projects and review work.
